This post is all about how to romanticize Christmas with your baby!
Christmas season is the best season to enjoy with a little baby! There are SO many fun traditions and activities to enjoy, but the trick is to figure out which activities are baby-friendly!
If you are spending Christmas season with a cute lil babe, here are my top recommendations for activities you can enjoy with him or her.
Christmas with your baby
Santa hat picture
If this is your baby’s first Christmas, consider getting a special picture of them wearing a Santa hat. Then, keep that hat and get the same picture for each of your baby’s first Christmases! How cute will it be to compare the same picture between each baby?!
If your baby has siblings, you can also grab a cute ‘Santa hat’ picture with all of your kids! You can plop them onto a chair, set them up in bed, or even sit them in front of the tree for a yearly picture tradition.
This hat actually says ‘My very first Christmas’ which is perfect for this tradition! Or, if you’d like something a little different, this knit santa hat is so cozy (comes in green and adult sizes, too!)
Watch holiday movies
If you’re in need of a cozy Christmas feeling, now is the time to snuggle up with your baby and put on your favorite Christmas shows! You can introduce them to all of the classics or search the Hallmark channel for brand new films. Turn on your Christmas tree and make some cocoa for the ultimate cozy Christmas vibe!
Get a baby Christmas tree
Another perfect way to make this season special with your baby is to get her a baby Christmas tree!
I found this little guy at Trader Joe’s for under $10 and it’s still alive a year later. It makes the cutest prop for pictures and looks adorable in a nursery.
Listen to holiday music
Babies love music! A really quick and easy way to get into the Christmas spirit with your baby is to play all your favorite Christmas songs for them.
I love Christmas songs that are upbeat and fun! If that sounds like your taste, too, you can check out my Spotify Christmas list linked here.
Go to church
For many, the Christmas season is all about remembering Christ the savior and His birth. Introduce your baby to the real reason for the season by taking him or her to church!
Church meetings and devotions are often paired with beautiful Christmas music this time of year that your baby is sure to enjoy.
You might take this special activity to the next level by gathering color-coordinated outfits for the entire family! You can dress up in red, green, white, gold, or even a mixture. Have fun with it!
See lights
Even if your baby is VERY young, he or she probably already enjoys lights! A great way to enjoy Christmas with a baby is to see all of the festive light displays.
You could get tickets to a drive-thru light show, walk around a neighborhood to see lit houses and trees, or you can keep it really simple and just plug in some lights in your house.
Whichever method you choose, your babe is sure to enjoy those lights!
Here’s a link to some simple Christmas lights that you can string up anywhere in the house.
Read Christmas stories
Babies also love books and being read too. Try capturing the holiday spirit by switching out your regular books with Christmas books! There are so many Christmas story options, from books on Christ’s birth to stories about elves and reindeer, even to stories about Christmas miracles.
Enjoy snow
Baby’s first Christmas might also bring baby’s first snow! One fun way to enjoy Christmas with your baby is to take him or her outside to enjoy the snow! For young babies, you might just take them on a quick stroller walk through snow, or you might just watch the snow through the window.
Either way, make sure to bundle up your little one real tight before you face that cold weather! I recently found the CUTEST baby snow outfit from Amazon, it makes your baby look like an actual teddy bear. It’s TOO CUTE. Linked here.
Snuggle
Finally, it’s always a good idea to snuggle!
Although there are so many fun traditions and activities you CAN do this season, make sure to take time to relax and cherish the things that matter most, starting with your family.
A good snuggle session may be the best thing for you to enjoy with your baby this year. So enjoy those tiny finger and toes and have a happy holiday!
