This post is all about budget friendly birthday decorations!
If you’re anything like me, you love decorating for birthday party celebrations. BUUUUT you also appreciate budget-conscious finds.
These decorations are just that: budget friendly items that are neutral enough to celebrate anyone’s birthday and durable enough to last for years! Talk about saving money AND partying in style.
Here are the 4 perfect birthday decorations:
Reusable banner
THIS banner is my new favorite birthday decoration of all time.
Since the material is burlap, it will stand the test of time so I can use it for years to come – unlike cheaper cardboard banners that can get ripped, wet, or folded.
The burlap material is also neutral enough to decorate any kind of party, from a truck-lovers party to a mermaid’s underwater birthday bash!
Finally, I just love how the banner can fold up easily and neatly into a small space. This makes it easy to store with all my other party supplies!
I love that I don’t have to buy new banners all the time. I just have one simple, clean, durable statement piece to save money on each birthday we celebrate!
Bulk pack of balloons
An easy way to spruce up any birthday decoration collection is with balloons!
One of the best qualities of balloons is that you can use them in so many different ways. Of course you can fill them with helium, but I love to fill them with air and find unique ways to decorate with them!
Sometimes I hang them from string taped to the ceiling, sometimes I create a balloon arch, and other times (especially with kids!) I simply let a bunch of balloons loose around the party area and they’re a big hit!
I love to save money by purchasing balloons in bulk. By picking neutral balloons, I can use them for any themed party and really any event.
Buying balloons in bulk is such an easy way to add cheap fun to birthday celebrations!
Neutral candles
THESE candles are SO gorgeous and – my favorite quality – SO reusable!
It seems like a waste of money to buy candles each year in the shape of a number or a random color. By purchasing neutral candles, I can use them for any birthday, any year!
I can even use these candles for random fun events, which makes their cost per use even smaller.
These candles are easy to store, easy to use, and easy to save money with!
Gift bags
Gift bags are a major hack when it comes to birthday decorations!
When we switched to ONLY using gift bags to wrap presents, I realized that meant I could ditch wrapping paper, string, bows, tape, and even scissors in my gift-wrapping collection. This saves space and money because I’m not restocking these supplies all the time!
Plus, wrapping presents in bags is simply 10x easier than measuring, cutting, taping…. All you have to do is toss a present in a bag. Boom.
I made my gift wrapping station even simpler by only keeping neutral gift bags. Now I can use them for any event – birthdays, weddings, baby showers, etc.
If I ever DO want to add some specific colors or style, I keep a variety of colored tissue paper. But, I really love to keep it simple with brown bags and white tissue paper. So classy!
That’s it! This post talked about my favorite budget-friendly birthday decorations.
I hope you enjoy celebrating in style (and in budget!)
