Three cheers for fall! Here are the cutest activities to do with kids in the fall.
Outside kid fall activities
Now that the weather is cooling off and the leaves are changing colors, it’s time to get outside! These kid fall activities are all outdoors.
Before you head out, make sure to bundle up into some warm clothes, like these mommy + me beanies from Amazon! Linked here.
PS – you can download a list of these activities at the bottom of this post! This makes it easy to print and check off activities so that you don’t miss anything this season.
Go on a walk
Grab a stroller and head on a walk! Or, if your baby can already walk, a baby-led walk is the perfect fall activity to enjoy.
Drive up the canyon
If you have some mountains near you, it’s the perfect time of year for a cozy canyon drive! Turn on some cozy fall tunes and enjoy a beautiful ride with your kids.
Picnic
Picnics are best when the sun isn’t scorching, so a fall picnic is a perfect kid fall activity! All you need is a blanket and some snacks. Need a neutral, lightweight, picture-perfect blanket? I’ve got you! THIS one is perfect for all occasions.
Gather leaves
Your baby might not have much experience with fall leaves, so gather some up and show them off! You can even gather a huge pile of leaves for your kids to crawl/walk/jump into!
Corn maze
Grab a baby carrier and take your kids through a corn maze! We love doing corn mazes with our baby, and it was super easy with our Infantino baby carrier! This carrier is super adjustable, so you’ll be able to use it no matter how old your baby is this season! Linked here.
Go to a football game
Your kid might love going to a football game this fall! There is so much to see, food to try, and even songs or chants to clap along to. Plus, you can dress your baby up in tiny athletic gear to support the team!
Indoor kid fall activities
If you’re a homebody like more or anticipate some chilly autumn days, here are some indoor kid fall activities you can enjoy!
Bake something pumpkin-y
Time to turn up the coziness in your home with some baking! You can truly celebrate fall with your kid by baking something with a fall flavor, such as an apple pie or pumpkin cookie. Yum!
Watch Gilmore Girls
It’s hard to put a pin on why the show ‘Gilmore Girls’ feels so fall-like to me, but don’t you agree that it’s a cozy show? Maybe it’s the sweaters or the small town vibes. Either way, watching this show is a great way to celebrate fall with your kid!
Wear sweaters
Man I am a SUCKER for tiny baby sweaters! They’re so cute and so cozy, plus they just make you want to snuggle your baby even more. Celebrate fall with your baby by donning those comfy sweaters! I actually got my favorite baby sweater (pictured below) from Amazon, linked here.
Read
A great way to spend time with your baby indoors is by reading! You can even find fall-themed books to truly capture the autumn vibes.
Watch holiday movies
Another kid fall activity is to watch holiday movies! Whether they take place in the fall or highlight some fall-related activity like football, these movie can really get you and your baby in the mood for a cozy season!
Make a warm drink
If you’re facing a cold fall day, it’s the perfect time to make a warm drink! My go-to is hot chocolate, oh it’s so yummy. Just make sure to cool down your drink before you share it with your baby!
Halloween-themed activities
Finally, here are a few kid fall activities that are specifically for Halloween!
Make Halloween costumes
You and your baby might have a really great time working on your Halloween costumes! Whether you take a trip to the store together or spend time cutting and gluing a DIY costume together, you’re bound to have a great time!
Carve pumpkins
Give your baby a sensory experience by including him or her in your pumpkin carving! You baby might enjoy feeling the pumpkin guts or even climbing inside a carved pumpkin.
Decorate Halloween cookies
Finally, try decorating Halloween cookies with your kid! Even if he or she eats more than decorates, you’ll have a great time making this Halloween memory.
Hope you have an incredible autumn and enjoy doing these baby fall activities!
