This post is all about the perfect baby spa day!
I’m always on the lookout for activities I can do with my baby during her wake windows! A bath and pampering session is perfect because it entertains baby, checks off one of my chores, and often ends with baby falling asleep!
Here is a list of ideas you can do with your baby during spa day!
Baby Spa Day
Bath
First, start with a bath! Make sure the water is warm and baby is safe. We like to use a baby bath seat to keep baby’s head above the water. I’ll admit, sometimes this part of spa day is a little overwhelming or scary for my baby. Some days she loves taking a warm bath… and other days she is screaming and excited to get warm and cuddly again. Never fear, even a quick 30 second bath counts!
Towel
Next, towel up! This step is what really calms down my baby girl. We use a Parker Baby hooded towel that is incredibly soft, warm, and absorbent. It’s perfect for making baby nice and warm for the rest of the pampering process!
Nails
After a diaper, I like to trim baby girl’s nails. I use this electric nail file that is super gentle and quiet. I’ve even successfully used it on baby while she sleeps! Taking care of some little details is a perfect way to make sure baby is all fresh and taken care of.
Lotion
Next, I apply some lotion. My baby’s skin gets really dry because we live in the dry desert air. I love keeping her skin soft and moisturized with Tubby Todd products. Their all over ointment is amazing because it’s super thick and made for babies!
Massage
As I apply lotion I like to really massage baby all over. Sometimes she gets ticklish and treats me with a little giggle <3
Brush
An optional step is to brush hair! I know many babies who are mostly bald, but mine happened to come with a bunch of hair. If we don’t brush it down after every bath, it’s gets pretty wild and tangly! I like to use this special baby brush to softly grab all her fine hairs.
Kisses
Finally, the best part of a baby spa day – some snuggles and kisses!
Those are all my ideas for a cozy baby spa day. If you’d like a little checklist for this baby spa day, I’ve made a free downloadable version for you below!
