Building a wedding registry is such a fun part of the engagement season.
Couples get to pick out things they need and gifts they’d appreciate, making it easier for friends and family to bring a gift to the reception!
The best place to build a registry is at Amazon. Due to their ability to pull products from thousands of sources and ship them quickly to homes, they lead the way in product variety and convenience.
Additionally, when you sign up for an Amazon Wedding Registry, Amazon gives you suggestions of what you need on your list and even categorizes household products into styles – making it easy for you to build a farmhouse or a minimalist style kitchen!
If you’re interested in starting an Amazon registry, I’ll put a link for it right here.
The hard part of building a wedding registry is 1) avoiding the ‘extra’ things that you don’t actually need and 2) not forgetting the essentails!
That’s why I’ve compiled a list of the wedding registry items I use every day.
These products are things I can’t live without, and I’m so glad I didn’t forget them!
If you’re building your wedding registry, don’t forget to include these items. Even if you’re already married, you’ll want to make sure you own these must-haves!
1) Pillows!
You probably already have a pillow, but creating a wedding registry might be the perfect time to get an upgrade! Try this 2 pack of pillows and discard the pillow you’ve used since high school 😉
Don’t forget to find some personal throw pillows to boot – Amazon has hundreds of options to fit your style.
2) Foot lamp
This foot lamp turned out to be SO convenient for us.
It’s super nice to have a lamp that can plug into a hard-to-reach outlet, but we avoid crawling on the ground to turn it on!

3) Blender
Now is the time to get yourself a nice blender!
Once we got a blender, we used it every. single. day! We love making protein shakes, breakfast smoothies, and milkshakes with our blender. So easy, so yummy!

4) Magnetic dry erase whiteboard (+ calendar)
This magnetic dry erase whiteboard is SO convenient. I stuck this on our fridge and we use it to write shopping and to-do lists.
We also got this dry erase calendar that hangs on a wall and turned out to be super helpful as we planned our schedules together. You can use this whiteboard to make a meal plan, track schedules, or write down family appointments that everyone needs to know.
5) Superior cotton towel set
Just like pillows, now might be a good time to upgrade your towel set! I love this set that comes with towels, washcloths, and hand towels! Linked here.
6) Handheld vacuum
If you’re afraid of spiders (like me), this tool is for you!
This handheld vacuum is also perfect for small apartments because you can quickly vacuum high-traffic or dusty spots without getting out the huge vacuum for one small room.
7) Comforters
Pro tip: if you want to add some class and comfort to your bedroom, get a comforter!
Comforters are fluffy, soft, and cozy.
They are definitely my favorites bed accessory and now they’re my husband’s favorite, too.
This comforter comes is machine washable and a little lighter if you sleep warm.
This comforter is HUGE – perfect for those who sleep cold or like to be extra cozy at night. It’s also reversible so you can refresh a whole room just by flipping it over. Linked here.
8) Ice cube tray
As newlyweds, you might not be able to afford an ice-dispensing fridge for a while. Try these ice cube trays instead! Linked here.
9) Ikea children color bowl set
This is my favorite bowl set for snacks or dessert. It’s the IKEA children bowls that are colorful dishwasher safe. They’re a little small so that you can get a healthier portion of unhealthy snacks. Use these bowls for chips, ice cream, cake, etc.
If you want the set with matching plates and cups, that’s linked here.
10) 18piece dinner set (glass not plastic!)
PSA don’t get the plastic set of plates and bowls – they’ll cracked and fall apart in a few months!
Instead, opt for a glass set. This set comes with big plates, small plates, and normal sized bowls.
11) Febreze
If you are a girl, this product is especially for you because living with a boy is STINKY!
Amazon has plenty of candle and fragrance products, but two of my favorite are these spray febreze bottles and poo pourri (the before-you-go toilet spray) you’ll thank me later 😉
12) Tupperware
Cooking for 2 is SO hard – instead, cook normal meals and save leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch. This set is sturdy and dishwasher safe.
13) Frying pan
Frying pans are absolutely necessary – cook eggs, meat, veggies, sandwiches, sauce, and more! We like a 3 piece set for when we have multiple things to cook or haven’t done the dishes yet. Linked here.
14) Kitchen standing mat
This is another newlywed must-have, especially if you have an apartment or house that doesn’t have a dishwasher! You’ll spend hours at the sink and you don’t want your feet to be achy or cold.
This mat is soft, thick, easy to clean, and comes in various colors. Linked here.
15) Games!
It’s so fun to have games on hand for you and your spouse or to invite friends over for game night!
For two people, try: code names duet, connect four, and blokus.
For a group, try: catchphrase, exploding kittens, and uno.
16) Bonus : collapsible cooler!
I don’t use this collapsible cooler every day per se, but we do use it WAY more than expected, almost weekly!
It’s so convenient for when we want to go on a picnic, take a roadtrip, go camping, or bring food to a party.
The cooler isn’t too huge and fits nicely in a trunk or backseat. The inside is lined with plastic, so if something spills, we can just clean it up with a wet wipe. The outside has pockets, which is convenient for some utensils or our car keys. There are also handles AND a strap for carrying.
One of the best things about this cooler is that it’s collapsible – perfect for newlyweds with limited storage space (not to mention no garage)! When we aren’t using it, the cooler slides into a closet until next use. What a dream!
You can find this cooler here.
That’s all for today! Good luck building your registry and congratulations on marriage!
