Whether your family is full of kids, pet-inclusive, the spouse + you, or just yourself, don’t miss out on all the fun activities that fall has to offer!
This handy list of fall activities will help you to not forget anything!
1) Bake a pie
Fall season is PIE season, and I’m here for it! Ooh I’m feeling peach or apple, how about you?
2) Carve a pumpkin
Carving pumpkins is fun, cheap, and a great way to unleash your imagination! Make it scary, cute, or funny, you decide!
3) Watch a scary movie
With Halloween on it’s way, now is the PERFECT time to cozy up and watch a freaky film! Don’t get any nightmares…
4) Canyon drive
A perfect activity for couples and large families alike, a canyon drive is absolutely beautiful in the fall. Leaves change color, the weather is bearable. Grab a hat and let’s go!
5) Corn maze
Ooh the local corn maze! Don’t forget to sign up for that this year.
6) Haunted house
Ah, did something brush my arm?! Though they can be creepy, haunted houses are all the buzz this time of year! Make sure to grab someone you trust to drag through this haunted house, it might be too scary to do alone…
7) Football game
Whether you’re close enough to a stadium to attend in person or preparing some homemade guacamole for an at-home party, make sure to catch a football game this season!
8) DIY Halloween costumes
Halloween costumes are SO fun to wear, especially if you have a party to go to. If you’re looking to get creative and/or save some money this year, you might want to make a do-it-yourself Halloween costume! You can either rummage through the house for a quick and easy costume (ex plaid shirt + overalls + face paint = scarecrow!) or check out some local thrift stores for the items you need!
9) Go on a hike
This time of year has the perfect weather for a nice hike. Pro tip: try to go on a hike during off days if you can. The weekends can get pretty busy on certain hiking trails in the fall! Instead, try to go on a weekday afternoon or evening and enjoy that fresh air.
10) Make kettle corn
Tis the season for kettle corn! Here‘s a recipe from AllRecipes that only requires vegetable oil, white sugar, and unpopped kernels. Enjoy!
11) Go camping
Again, the weather this time of year is phenomenal for all things outdoors, including camping! Pack a tent and some hot dogs and you’re ready to go!
12) Make/buy/eat caramel apples
Caramel apples are sooo yummy and I love how popular they get during the fall season! One of my favorite things about caramel apples is that you can add anything to the top of them. A coat of white chocolate, a drizzle of dark chocolate, sprinkles, chocolate chips, m&ms, graham cracker crumbs, marshmallows, oreos, and so much more!
13) Hayride
There are many local carnivals, pumpkin patches, and corn mazes that also offer hayrides! Perfect for a romantic snuggle or an adventure with little ones.
14) Bonfire + s’mores
The fall season is perfect for an outdoor campfire with some s’mores to boot. Grab your roasting sticks and get cooking!
15) Go stargazing
Grab a blanket or find some grass and settle down for some stargazing in the warm autumn night. Sounds dreamy, right?
16) Have a picnic
The fall season is absolutely perfect for picnics because it’s not too hot or cold outside! You won’t be sweating to death while you slather some bread with peanut butter, but you won’t be too cold to pop open a can of soda, either. Utilize this perfect weather and get outside for your next meal!
17) Host/go to a Halloween party
Ooh, Halloween parties are the best! If you’ve never hosted one, this might be your year! Put up some ghoulish decor and invite all your friends over in costume. Have some spooky snacks and watch a haunted movie!
I hope this fall season is the best one yet for you! Don’t forget to enjoy all these activities before Christmas season begins! Enjoy!
